Do I need to already be using QuickBooks Online?
Yes — I work exclusively in QuickBooks Online (QBO). If you're not on QBO yet, I can set it up for you as part of an onboarding package. If you're already using it, we can get started right away.
My books are a complete mess. Can you still help?
Absolutely — catch-up bookkeeping is one of the most common things I help with. Whether you're 3 months or 2 years behind, I'll get everything cleaned up and organized before starting your monthly service.
Are you a CPA?
No — I'm a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and an accounting student, not a licensed CPA. ClearPath provides bookkeeping services only. I don't prepare tax returns or provide tax advice. For tax work, I'm happy to refer you to trusted local CPAs I work alongside.
How do you handle my financial documents securely?
All documents are shared through secure, encrypted cloud storage. I never request sensitive information over email. Your data stays confidential and is only used to maintain your books.
How long does it take to get started?
Most clients are up and running within a week. We start with a free discovery call, I send a proposal within 24 hours, and once you sign the engagement letter I'll set up QBO access and begin right away.
Do I have to commit to a long-term contract?
No long-term contracts required. I work month-to-month — stay as long as you're getting value, leave anytime with 30 days notice.

I'm the founder of ClearPath Bookkeeping — a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and accounting student based in Montgomery County, MD.

I started ClearPath because I kept seeing small business owners stressed out by their finances — not because their businesses were failing, but because their books were a mess. Disorganized records meant missed deductions, surprise cash crunches, and hours wasted before every tax season.

So I built the kind of service I'd want if I were running a business: accurate books, reports delivered on time, and a real person who actually picks up the phone.
